Excellent Colostrum for calves (IBR-free)

Newborn calves sometimes need a helping hand while growing up. Especially for this purpose, there is Excellent Colostrum! Combined with lower quality colostrum, or a colostrum substitute without or with vegetable fat, this can cause the calf to have a poor start. Feed instructions
Provide at least 3-4 litres of colostrum. Excellent Colostrum can be applied in different ways. 

Enrichment: Measure the Brix value of the cow's colostrum and based on the result, enrich the colostrum with Excellent Colostrum to achieve the desired Brix value. A Brix value of 22 is sufficient and 25 is optimal. To increase the Brix value of colostrum by one percentage point, add 25 grams of Excellent Colostrum per litre of colostrum.

Insufficient colostrum: Dissolve 500 g Excellent Colostrum in 1500 ml lukewarm water (43 to 48 °C) and stir until a homogeneous solution forms. Feed at body temperature (38 °C) with a feeding bottle, preferably within 6 to 12 hours of birth. 

Substitute: Dissolve 1000 g of Excellent Colostrum in 3000 ml of lukewarm water and stir until a homogeneous solution is formed. Administer at body temperature (38 °C) with a feeding bottle, preferably within 2 hours of birth. For optimal colostrum supply, provide another 500 g Excellent Colostrum dissolved in 1500 ml lukewarm water after 12 hours. 

Complementary feeding: To support gut development and local resistance, provide the calf with 50 grams of Excellent Colostrum twice daily for 3 to 14 days. With whole milk, mix through the milk; with milk replacer, part of the powder can be replaced by Excellent Colostrum.
