At a temperature of 5°C or lower, the energy from the milk feed is used to maintain the calf's body temperature. This means insufficient energy remains for growth, but also for supporting the immune system, making the calf more vulnerable to problems such as diarrhoea, stress, colds or growth stagnation.
Using a Calf Coat protects the calf from temperature fluctuations, allowing the calf to use the energy for growth and maintenance of its immune system. In this way, the Calf Coat pays for itself.

Important

The Calf Coat is made from the non tearable material 600 Denier Polyester-Ribstop with a nylon strap + plastic shackles and is of course waterproof. The Kalverdek Calf Coat is made from breathing material with a transmission of 3000g/m2/24h. Washable at 30°C.
