The D-Bolus is a bicarbonate pill used as a complementary feed for calves. It is specially designed as a dietetic feed to stabilise the water and electrolyte balance in the calf's body and support physiological digestion. This is important because a proper balance of these substances is essential for the health of the calf.

One of the main benefits of the D-Bolus is that it can increase the drinking desire of calves with diarrhoea. When calves suffer from diarrhoea, they lose in addition to fluids also buffers, which lowers acidity. An additional effect of this is that it also reduces the desire to drink. This can cause the calf to weaken and even at risk of dying. D-Bolus provides an important buffer with bicarbonate. So D-Bolus is perfect for increasing the calf's desire to drink.

D-Bolus contains 10% more bicarbonate than comparable pills and comes in a special fast-soluble gelatin capsule, which allows absorption to take place faster, which gives it a quicker effect. This makes it a more effective solution than comparable products. The D-Bolus is easy to administer with a pill applicator.

D-Bolus is also ideal for sheep and goats for buffering acidity. It can be used as a dietetic feed to reduce the risk of acidosis and can also be used for them to stimulate their desire to drink.

Feed instructions:
Calves:
Stimulate the desire to drink in case of diarrhoea: At the first signs of digestive disorders, give 1 D-Bolus per calf and then 1 D-Bolus for each feeding for 1-2 days.
Reducing acidification after birth: 1 D-Bolus immediately after birth.

Sheep and goats:
Stimulate the desire to drink: Twice daily 1 D-Bolus during 1-2 days.
Reduction of the risk of acidosis: Administer 2 D-Boluses simultaneously and repeat after 12 hours.

Administration:
Orally with the bolus inserter PILL0002 (not included).
