Salmon Oil for horses – omega 3 (EPA & DHA) support
Salmon Oil is a complementary feed for horses and ponies, rich in omega 3 (EPA & DHA) and omega 6 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids support overall nutrition and contribute to a balanced diet. It is suitable as a daily supplement for horses that may benefit from additional support, for example during training, condition, skin and coat care.

Salmon oil vs. linseed oil
Both salmon oil and linseed oil contain essential fatty acids required for normal body functions.
The difference lies in the type of omega 3:
- Linseed oil mainly contains ALA (plant-based)
- Salmon oil contains EPA and DHA
ALA must first be converted into EPA and DHA, which is a limited process. EPA and DHA from salmon oil are directly available and therefore efficiently used in the diet.
