Ruminal Magnet Cattle

The ruminal magnet for cattle can be used against sharp objects in cows. Eaten sharp objects and materials end up at the bottom of the reticulum and can cause inflammation. By providing each calf with a ruminal magnet, the sharp materials bind to the magnet and (further) damage is prevented.

Discription:
New research on 1491 cows shows that almost 10% of the cows (= 143 cows) had damage to the reticulum and rumen. The research has shown that there is a reduction in the occurrence of hardware disease in cows that had a ruminal magnet.
